                        Sibley教授是美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff杰出教授同创娱乐官网,美国科学院院士同创娱乐官网。Sibley教授因在胞内寄生生物的分子与细胞生物学及寄生原虫病的病原决定分子研究的突出贡献而闻名于寄生虫学学界。在Nature同创娱乐官网、Cell、Science、Cell Host & Microbe, EMBO J、Molecular Cell等国际顶级科学期刊上发表230多篇论文,被引将近20000次,H index高达82。Sibley教授近年来获得了多项寄生虫学学术荣誉,包括Burroughs Wellcome Fund分子寄生虫学奖和Alice and CC Wang寄生虫学奖同创娱乐官网。同时他也是Wellcome Trust和法国巴斯德研究所等多家顶级学术研究机构的科学顾问。Sibley教授也是Science同创娱乐官网、PLoS Pathogens、mBio和Annual Review of Microbiology等期刊编辑。

                             Sibley教授从事弓形虫研究30多年,获得了弓形虫病方面的一系列的原创性科学成就。鉴定弓形虫虫株的多样性及虫株谱系的来源同创娱乐官网;开发弓形虫正向遗传学方法并以此鉴定多种重要的弓形虫毒性效应因子;发现弓形虫产生脱落酸,发现并阐述钙信号通路与弓形虫毒性的关系;推动并完成弓形虫基因组学同创娱乐官网、EST标签等高通量生物信息研究;开发、引入弓形虫多项遗传研究技术;近年来同创娱乐官网,Sibley教授拓展到人兽共患寄生病原隐孢子虫的同创娱乐官网,并实现了隐孢子虫体外培养方案,全世界首例能在实验室实现隐孢子虫完全生活周期的培养,将极大推动相关理论和药物筛选研究。
